Overview
As enshrined in our mandate, this initiative has supported the local SME sector and cultivated a culture entrepreneurship. By partnering with Business box and Uconomy, we are dedicated to developing SMEs in Oranjemund by providing a robust support system to address specific financial challenges and scale existing operational businesses. Launched in 2022 with the Online Business Platform, Uconomy has partnered with the Development Bank of Namibia to include Oranjemund SMEs in the National Mentoring & Coaching Program. The first phase in 2023 involved 15 SMEs, and for 2024, another 12 SMEs have been mentored and coached by Mr. Lionel Matthews. Uconomy offers services such as the Oranjemund Online Business Platform, financial administration, accounting services, networking initiatives, and comprehensive mentoring and coaching programs.
